In general most plumpers don't install greywater system. Ask them if they have installed greywater systems before and get references. The best place to find a greywater installer is Greywater Action's website. They train greywater system installers and other water conservation trainings. For more into http://greywateraction.org/installers. Good luck!

Greywater from homes are usually coming from laundry because it's easy to install. The laundry greywater can be used to water trees, shrubs and flowers. Greywater can also water vegetable gardens as long as the greywater does not touch the edible parts. When greywater goes to the soil and the microbes will work on it so it's safe to grow almost anything. Water from toilet, kitchen and dish washer are called black water. That has more bacterial and need specially treatment before it can be reused.
