Better Sprinkler Head

I live in the hot and dry east bay. I have a medium size lawn. Every summer I use a lot of water to keep it green and hire a gardener to maintain it. If a sprinkler head is broken (they do break often) and I don't notice it soon it would turn brown quickly. Then it would take a lot more water and a very long time to get the grass green up again. Are there sprinkler heads that don't break easily? So I don't have to keep repairing them.

There are many causes for brown lawns: lawn disease, infestation, wrong grass type, poor soil conditions, etc. You may want to hire a professional to take a look.
For lawn sprinklers, you may want to try impact sprinklers. Their larger size makes the operation smoother and less likely to break down. Because there is a continuous flow of water, these units are less prone to blockage and damage. They also produce large droplets that makes watering more effective.
