However, the material also serves to keep heat out during summer months, enabling your indoor environment to stay cooler for longer periods of time. You still need to use your cooling system to moderate indoor temperatures, but cool temperatures are more stable as energy exchange is slowed..

Insulation makes a shield in your roof, surfaces and/or floors that prevent air. Both hot and cold from coming into and getting out of your home.

Generally, people found this types of problem in different seasons. But, I think Windows tint can be useful for us at this time. Because, it's protects us from unusual heat coming from outside the house. So, this could be one solution for that.

Air seal all the cracks and holes in the attic and crawl space with foam in cans which you can get from Home Depot. Then insulate with batts or cellulose in the attic to at least R50, about 12 inches for fiberglass and 13 inches for cellulose. Cover the crawl space with 6 or 10 mil plastic. You can install fiberglass batts yourself. Make sure there is no compression or void in order to achieve the best result. By taking time to do it well, you can save 20 - 50% of the energy and lower you utility bill. If you use the cellulose, you need to rent a machine to do it. Go to Green Topic on this site and see videos how to install insulation. Also see Material and Products for insulation materials. Another way is to hire a home performance contractor to do the work.

Yes, I agree. After air sealing and installing insulation our home is so much more comfortable. I was told to replace our single pane aluminum windows with double pane if I want to be even more comfortable. I'm planning to replace them in a couple of years.
