Re: Solar Hot WaterThanks for this guide for us to understand our options for a tankless hot water heater.. Tankless water heaters for the home are becoming very popular — especially when you think about the fact that heating water accounts for 25% of the energy used your home. It only makes sense to heat water more efficiently, if you can!
Re: Solar Hot WaterI agree with most of you... Solar heated pool is a lot better.
Re: Solar Hot WaterActually, the price of solar PV systems have gone down a lot in the past couple of years. Adding a few more solar panels to the existing system can be more reasonable than installing a brand new solar water system.
Re: Solar Hot WaterSolar hot water is popular in Europe and China. I think we are behind on this. We need more incentives to get people install solar hot water. Using the sun to heat our water makes a lot of sense.
Re: Solar Hot WaterSolar hot water systems use either glass evacuated tubes or glass flat panel solar collectors designed to collect heat by absorbing sunlight. The collectors are devices for converting the energy in solar radiation, providing a highly efficient means of heating your water.
Re: Solar Hot WaterNo doubt 1/3 of a house's utility costs spend on heating hot the water. Using the solar power system to heat the water will reduce your houses. These are used in nations around the world because they are clean, efficient, cheap, and work great.

Re: Solar Hot WaterAnd if you installed solar panel along with solar hot water,Your electrical expenses decreases due to solar system because an electric water heater needs about 6,400 kilowatt hours of electricity per year to heat the water, which will not be bearable some time!
Re: Solar Hot WaterIt is the best way to save energy for colder regions.
Re: Solar Hot WaterThere are two types of collector used in solar hot water heater.
1) Flat plate collectors 2) Evacuated tubes Which absorb energy from the sun to heat water for your home. After that the hot water store in insulated tank for you’re further used. This hot water you can use any time, even also in evening and in early morning.
Solar Hot WaterI think it will depend on your system.
The solar panel hot water heating works all the time ie you done switch it off. Many have a heater installed in their hot water tank so if the sun does not heat the water you can then switch on the heater and switch it back off when the water is hot enough, this heats the water in your hot water tank. The internal one you speak of if not in your main hot water tank then it must either have a seperate tank unlikely or it is a kind of heat as you use it similar to an electric shower.
