Window Film affect air quality?

I have decided to get a window film to block the harsh sunlight that often floods into our living room. Apart from blocking harmful UV rays, I have heard that they have a lot of other benefits as well ( http://protectionplus.ca/blog/how-does- ... your-home/ ). My question is that will it affect the indoor quality of the house? Any thoughts on this would be great.
