In December 2012, Dave Robinson of GreenEarthEquities invited me for an interview about the Green Remodel Forum on his weekly webinar.
As an industry recognized leader in home energy efficiency improvement, Dave won the 2012 Building Performance Institute’s Tony Woods Award for Excellence in Advancing the Home Performance Industry.Dave described that he embarked on his dream career a few years ago when he founded GreenEarthEquities, which buys foreclosed homes and installs complete energy retrofits along with some nice remodeling before selling them to delighted first time home buyers.
He started the webinars to share his success stories and experience with GreenEarthEquities. He also brings in guest speakers who are proponents of home energy improvements.
In this webinar, I was able to share my intention of the Green Remodel Forum website: help homeowners to understand the benefits of remodeling green so they will want to green their remodels, and to spur discussions among homeowners, architects and contractors. I took the audience through the various sections of the web, highlighting the videos on sustainability, articles on energy efficiency, water conservation, products and materials. We also discussed some of the history and technical issues of building a website.
