Energy Rebate ProgramTwo representatives David McKinley (R-West Virginia) and Peter Welch (D-Vermont) re-introduced the Home Owners Managing Energy Savings (HOMES) Act. If the bill passes home owners can get up to $5000 rebates by retrofitting their homes more energy efficient. Let's hope they will pass this bill. This bill is better than the original one which was tax credit. That meant the low income homeowners could get little or no money back since they usually pay little or no tax. The new bill offers every one the same levels of rebates it does not matter your income levels.
