Bamboo FloorI am thinking of installing bamboo floor because it is "green" for our remodel. Is it durable? Does it work like a conventional hardwood floor? Does anyone have experience with bamboo floor in your home?
Re: Bamboo FloorBamboo floor is very durable and harder then red oak and maple. It is a fast-growing grass that can be harvested in 5 to 7 years. Be sure to look for bamboo products that are FSC certified and have no formaldehyde added. They can be used in all rooms except the bathroom because of moisture concerned.
Re: Bamboo FloorBamboo floor is very good for the houses to look unique and attractive. It also a way of developing each creativity on the space.
Re: Bamboo FloorMake sure you get the kind of bamboo can be harvested in 5-7 in years. Their hardness is better. Some of them were harvested in 3-4 years. If it was harvested too early, it's too soft for flooring. They get dented very easily. I've heard people complained about it. Strand woven bamboo is very hard and great for flooring.
Re: Bamboo FloorThe strand woven bamboo is very hard and great for flooring. But the pattern is too bold. Some people may not like the bold pattern.
Re: Bamboo FloorBamboo needs to be dried in the warehouse before making into flooring. Make sure you buy them from a reputable company.
Re: Bamboo FloorBamboo flooring is a great alternative for those with allergies as it is easy to maintain and does not collect harmful allergens like carpet and grout in tiles. Also it is easy to clean.
Re: Bamboo FloorYes, I agree with all that you are saying. In addition to those points, bamboo floors are really great. They can give your home an island look thus it will look fresh and inviting especially during the summer season.
Re: Bamboo FloorI believe the fact with all that you are saying. Moreover to those factors, bamboo bedding surfaces are really great.
