This 13th annual Green Festival in San Francisco in early November had over 300 businesses and organizations under one roof displaying their sustainable products and services. It’s like a marketplace for you with all sustainable vendors.
A few products/services that suit a green home particularly well.
- Healthy Building Science was demonstrating eletromagnetic signals caused by electronic devices and electric wirings. The company specializes healthy building inspections for existing homes and consultations toward the removal of mold and excessive electromagnetic interference.
- Sheep wool insulation from Oregon Shepherd. The product is natural, sustainable, recyclable, zero VOC, resistant to mold growth, and easy to install.
- Natural rubber mattress from Savvy Rest. This organic material does not emit odor and potential harmful gases that is typically given off by synthetic materials normally used to make foam mattresses.
- An indoor planter from Tower Garden that lets you grow vegetables and herbs indoor without taking up much space.
There were panel talks on environmental topics, demonstrations of healthy food preparation, eco-fashion shows, sampling of natural food and drinks, natural skin care, natural cleaning products, organic wine and beer and many more. It was a well attended event.
