Celebrating Earth Day

Green Remodel Forum joined many local business and organizations to celebrate Earth Day (April 22, 2013) in a Green Fair at the San Ramon Bishop Ranch Court Yard. The Green Fair was intended to let people learn about green products, services and sustainability ideas from local green business and non-profit organizations.

Centrally positioned among the Bishop Ranch buildings and blessed by a beautiful sunny day, we had plenty of visitors during the hours around lunchtime. Many questions were about where to buy green building materials, the materials themselves (countertops, flooring and insulation) as well as water conservation devices. Still, energy efficiency is the top concern by most of the people.

We had a raffle drawing. The lucky winner received a set of water conservation kit – a 1.5 gallon-per-minute shower head with a push button to lower the flow to .5 gpm when soaping, a kitchen faucet aerator, and two bathroom aerators.
